SMES school
psychologists are
Dr. Haig Musurlian
and
Dr. Valerie Want.
Their on-campus office
hours are Monday,
10:00-2:00; Tuesday,
8:00-2:00; Wed,
9:00-3:00; and Friday,
9:00-3:00. They are also
available by page 24
hours/day, 7 days per
week for emergencies:
760-966-8981 (Dr.
Musurlian) and
949-489-6810 (Dr. Want).
Peer Counselors are a
hand-picked group of
Upper School students
(10th-12th grade) who
have been trained in
basic psychological
theory and technique.
They are available by
appointment or at lunch
in the Psychologist's
office. They maintain
the highest standards of
confidentiality and will
not judge or minimize
any student's problem.
A request for help,
unless it deals with
suicide, homicide, or
abuse, will be kept
strictly confidential.
